Panel shop MES system

A manufacturing execution system built for the panel shop, not the car plant.

KonstanTrack is MES software for panel builders: a manufacturing execution system for LV switchgear and electrical panel shops — BOM readiness, build stages, approvals, NCRs, FAT and handover in one live system. It runs the build, not the drawing office, and it doesn't take a year to roll out.

The problem

Enterprise MES is built for mass production. Panel building isn't mass production.

The big MES platforms — SAP, Siemens Opcenter, Plex — assume a line turning out the same part thousands of times. A panel shop is the opposite: low volume, high mix, most jobs built to order and rarely identical. Bend that kind of MES to fit a panel shop and you pay enterprise money for a rollout you never quite finish.

So most shops sit between two bad options — spreadsheets that can't hold a build together, and heavyweight MES that was never meant for made-to-order switchgear. KonstanTrack is the layer in between: the shop-floor control a panel builder needs, without the weight.

How KonstanTrack helps

What an MES for panel builders has to do

Know a build is ready before it starts

BOM and material readiness sit against the job, so you release a build when it can be finished — not halfway, then stalled waiting on a missing part.

Build stages that match the bench

Configure the stages your shop works — enclosure, busbar, wiring, terminations, inspection — and track percent-complete you can trust across every live job.

Quality in the build, not beside it

Raise and close NCRs against the job and stage, in the same audit trail as the rest of the build, instead of a separate quality spreadsheet.

Evidence ready at handover

Inspection, FAT and the handover pack are assembled against the job, so a build ships verified and the trail is complete.

What you get

Built for the job, not bolted on.

01

Estimation linked to the job

Quote and cost data stays tied to the project for its whole life, so you can see where margin went and quote the next one better.

02

BOM & material readiness

Know what's kitted, what's short and what's blocking a build before it starts.

03

Supervisor approvals

Sign-offs at the stages that matter, with a record of who approved what.

04

NCR & quality records

Raise, track and close non-conformances against the job, not on a separate spreadsheet.

05

FAT & handover packs

Test sign-off and documentation assembled and ready on the promised date.

06

Full audit trail

Every project action logged for traceability from enquiry to delivery.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How is an MES different from ERP?

ERP runs the business — orders, purchasing, invoicing. An MES runs the build on the floor — what stage each job is at, what is kitted, what has been signed off. KonstanTrack is the shop-floor layer; it sits alongside your accounts or ERP rather than replacing it.

Is this like SAP or Siemens Opcenter?

No. Those are enterprise MES platforms built for high-volume, repetitive production, and scoped and priced to match. KonstanTrack is built for low-volume, high-mix panel work and is designed to be running in weeks, not after a year-long implementation.

Is it a CAD or design tool?

No. It does not draw schematics or GAs. It tracks the build once design is done — BOM, stages, approvals, NCRs, FAT and handover — and holds your existing drawings and revisions against the job so the floor works to the current version.

Does it cover LV switchgear and distribution boards?

Yes. It is built around the LV switchgear, distribution board and control panel workflow, to BS EN IEC 61439 and BS 7671.

How is it priced?

Pricing is quote-based and depends on your team size and how you work. Request a quote and we will review your workflow before proposing anything.
